My name is Zack Hilliard, and I am a 4th year PhD student at NC State University. I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina, but I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 2018. I went back to the east coast, and earned my Masters degree in Mathematical Sciences from the College of Charleston in 2021. I started my PhD at NCSU shortly after, and have been working with Prof. Mohammad Farazmand on shape-morphing solutions for partial differential equations. My research interests are in dynamical systems, partial differential equations, reduced-order modeling, and data-driven methods.
